Kenya – Select Plus

Cupping Notes: Very good acidity, silky body, strong notes of apricot, stone fruit, citrus and currant.

Background: Our Kenya AA Select+ is cooperatively produced by a number of small farm holders in the central Kenyan farmlands surrounding Mt. Kenya. This lot of Kenya AA Select+ is the highest grade of Kenyan coffee (17/18 screen or AA). The main growing regions extend from the 17,000 foot, central peak of Mount Kenya all the way to the outskirts of the capital city of Nairobi to the south. Another portion of arabica farmlands lie on the slopes of Mt. Elgon, against Kenya’s western border with Uganda.
